WHAT SNOW AND WEATHER INFORMATION DO YOU HAVE?

Snow Type

Enter the snow type here. Man-made and natural snow up to three days old are considered "new" snow. For example, if it snows (or if snow is made) on Monday the snow is "new" till Thursday and becomes "old" on Friday. This is important information and if you do not have it you can easily get it by calling the resort. If you 're not sure of the snow type, leave this blank.

Snow Temperature

If you know the snow temperature enter it here, and tell the Virtual Technician if your measurements are in Celsius or Fahrenheit. If you do not know the snow temperature, it is better to leave this blank than guess. It is also better to leave this blank than to input the air temperature, because air  and snow temperatures can be very different.

Snow Humidity

This is a measure of the moisture content of the snow. We have found this to be more relevant than air humidity and this is how it works: If you cannot make a snowball, the snow is dry; if you can make a snowball but it does not stay together the snow is normal; and if the snowball stays together the snow is wet.

Snow Classification:               Wet Normal Dry
